Notts County swoop for Everton ace Femi Orenuga

Notts County have completed the signing of winger Femi Orenuga on a one-month loan deal from Premier League side Everton.

The 18-year-old is yet to feature for the Toffees but manager David Moyes is keen for his highly coveted youngster to experience first-team football at Meadow Lane.

Orenuga arrived at Goodison Park in July 2009 from League Two side Southend United where he remains their youngest ever player after briefly appearing as a substitute in the Shrimpers’ 3-1 FA Cup win over Luton Town in November 2008 at the age of just 15.

Everton were believed to have fought off a huge host of clubs for his signature including Manchester United who were understood to have taken the youngster on trial.

Orenuga featured for 15 minutes for Everton Reserves on Tuesday as they defeated Sunderland 2-0 at their Finch Farm training ground.
