Former Tottenham manager, caretaker manager and Director of Football David Pleat could be set for a return to White Hart Lane in a scouting capacity, according to the Daily
Pleat, who resigned his role as Football Consultant at Nottingham Forest last week, would be in charge of suggesting possible players to buy, although manager Harry Redknapp will still have final say on all purchases.
The set-up would also allow Chairman Daniel Levy to revert to his favoured Director of Football system that was in place before Redknapp signed, allowing the club to move for a foreign manager should Redknapp replace Fabio Capello as England boss. Carlo Ancelotti recently revealed his interest in managing Tottenham.
