Plymouth Argyle could be out of administration within a week, according to acting chairman Peter Ridsdale.
The club will hold their 125th anniversary celebrations at Home Park during the visit of Accrington Stanley on Saturday and Ridsdale has revealed the club may have more reason to celebrate.
James Brent and his Akkeron Group are allegedly close to completing their takeover of the club, and in turn, delivering Argyle from administration.
“Certainly our eye is on trying to do it some time next week. People have wanted this day to come for many months now and I think that day is very close.
“We’re all working very hard to answer all the questions for the Football League and Professional Footballer’s Association to make sure we’re in a position to do it as soon as possible.”
