Rodgers reveals footballing philosopy

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has been talking about his football philosophy, which has received praise from many neutrals since taking over the role from Paulo Sousa.

“I like my players to be technically strong and understand the game tactically, but I also think it’s vital to maximise the extent to which every player can play the game, and it’s also very important to understand the human needs element of players.

“In terms of the actual philosophy, I like my teams to be attractive and creative, but also with good tactical discipline, and that is really the core of all our work each and every day.”

The Swans have had a successful start to life in the Premier League, currently sitting in 10th position, with the only defeats coming against Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, all away from home.
