Rooney aims to continue Man Utd success

The widely held expectation that Manchester United will challenge and win major honours every season, resulting from Sir Alex Ferguson’s trophy-laden 25-year managerial reign, is something which Wayne Rooney is determined to help the club fulfil during the current campaign, report Sky Sports.

United are currently participating in the Premier League, Champions League and League Cup, whilst they will also enter the FA Cup in January, with Rooney signalling a desire to help United to success in the former two competitions as a personal priority for him this season.

“For me personally, I would like to win the Premier League again because it’s such a great feeling to win that. But then we want to do well in the Champions League as well, maybe get to the final and see what happens,” said Rooney who has already won the Premier League five times with United and the Champions League once in 2008.
