Szczesny wants to be Arsenal captain

Wojciech Szczesny believes he should be the Arsenal captain, as he has a big influence on his teammates on the pitch.

The 21-year-old ‘keeper was at fault for Tottenham’s weekend winner, a long-range shot from Kyle Walker, but the feels that he is the man to help turn Arsenal’s season around.

Talking to Polskathetimes.pl, Szczesny said: “I feel that when I say something, everyone listens to me. More so on the pitch rather than in the dressing room, but that’s more important I think.

“I want to be the captain of the side. I feel that I am able to take on that responsibility. I always wanted to be captain and if I ever get that honour, I will gladly put on the armband.”
