Terry backs Chelsea Stamford Bridge move

John Terry has given his public backing to Chelsea’s plans of moving to a new stadium, according to ESPN Soccernet. The Blues skipper is excited by the thought of moving onto a bigger stadium to compete with great clubs like Barcelona and Manchester United.

“Obviously, I have great memories of Stamford Bridge, but what excites me is the thought of my kids, who are Chelsea through and through, being able to grow up watching the team play in a big stadium,” Terry told the club’s official website.

Terry’s backing comes after fans of the club expressed their disgruntlement at the news of a move. And it seems like the club are keen on gaining the fans’ approval before making the jump from Stamford Bridge.
