Tevez agent places blame with interpreter

Carlos Tevez’ advisor Kia Joorabchian says the striker was misinterpreted in an interview and then subsequently got suspended by his club, BBC Football report.

Following his alleged refusal to play in the Bayern Munich defeat, a club translator quoted the Argentine as saying: “I didn’t feel right to play so I didn’t.”

However, Joorabchian now says, “that interpretation was incorrect” and suggested language problems may be to blame for this entire situation.

He continued: “Carlos does speak English but it is not good enough to host a full-blown interview.” He added. “I listened to the questions in English and the interpretations in Spanish, both questions were interpreted incorrectly and both answers of Carlos were then misinterpreted.”
