Torres risks being dropped from Spain team

Things for Fernando Torres just get worse and worse. He has been warned that if he doesn’t pick up form for Chelsea then he could face being dropped from the Spain squad for Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine next summer.

Torres was dropped for last month’s 6-0 defeat of Liechtenstein, and manager Vicente Del Bosque has said Torres must justify his place in the national squad.

“There’s a lot of competition for all the places. As far as the strikers are concerned, I think we’ve got all the circumstances covered. We’ve got a mix of players that complement each other for different types of games,” report Mirror Football

Having said this, Del Bosque reportedly is unsure of whether to select Torres if he continues his nightmare start to life at Stamford Bridge.
