Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is keen to quit the club in order to join Ligue 1 high flyers Paris Saint Germain, according to The
Toure only returned to the City squad last month after serving a six-month suspension for failing a drug test. The Ivorian international initially went straight into the side, but since City’s champions league defeat to Bayern he has not made the first eleven, and was an unused substitute against Manchester Utd on Sunday.
PSG have recently been taken over by Qatari investors, and have since embarked on a massive recruitment drive spending nearly €80 million in the summer. The second phase of this drive seems to be to attract established stars like David Beckham and Toure and the City defender doesn’t seem adverse to the idea.
Toure said: “I would be interested because of the competition there currently is at City. If the name of Paris comes it will not be like previous years.
“Now if they call me, I would listen to what they say. Given the very good players there are there, it really makes you want to go there, it’s clear,” Toure added.
