Unai Emery to meet with Ricardo Costa after outburst

Valencia assistant Coach Juan Carlos Carcedo has confirmed that Unai Emery is set to meet with Ricardo Costa and admitted that the defender’s recent outspoken criticism is ‘not good for the group’.

Speaking to Radio Marca, Emery’s right hand man admitted: “His statements do no good for the group. We will talk to him and if he has a complaint then we are open and he can safely communicate it to us.

“Hopefully Ricardo Costa will reconsider and accept that what he did was not right.”

Costa was openly critical of Los Che over the international break and implied he has no faith in the way they treat him when asked by Portuguese journalists if he believed that they had offered him to Espanyol recently.
