Van Persie doesn’t rule out Arsenal exit as Man City eye big money move

Arsenal star striker Robin van Persie has not ruled out a potential exit from the club, following recent rumours linking the Dutchman to Manchester City.

The Gunners have sold three of their biggest players, Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri, leaving van Persie the biggest name in a side that currently sit 15th in the Premier League after seven games.

Talking to The Times, the former Feyenoord man said: “I do not know [what I will do], I cannot predict the future. Everybody makes his own history and only afterwards can you see how that went.” When asked specifically about Manchester City, he replied: “I do not know. For one thing, as an indication, when I came to Arsenal we immediately beat City. But in recent years much has happened in England.”

Despite suffering injury at the beginning of last season, van Persie went on to score 18 league goals in 25 appearances.
