Van Persie to reject Arsenal exit in January but could still leave next summer

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie will reportedly snub a move away from the club in January but could still move in the summer.

Van Persie was made odds on by bookmakers to leave Arsenal by the end of the last transfer window, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he has had trouble initiating discussions with the striker, who has one year left on his current contract, over a new deal. According to the Daily Mirror, the Dutchman will snub interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris-Saint Germain and stay with Arsenal until at least the end of the season. Interest in the striker is not limited to overseas with Manchester City and United monitoring the situation at the Emirates.
