Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has revealed that he is open to holding contract talks with the club to extend his current deal, Sky
The 22 year old has seen big name players such as Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri leave the Emirates this summer and does not want to follow them out of the door, so is looking for the club to sit down and discuss business.
Walcott is out of contract at the end of the season and wants to secure his future with the Gunners, which comes as a huge relief to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. Wenger secured the long-term services of defender Thomas Vermaelen earlier this week and will be keen to do the same with his England international winger.
‘Hopefully, we can sit down with the club soon and talk things over. The team morale at Arsenal is great – the best it’s ever been. We have forgotten about the first few games. There’s no point dwelling on it’, Walcott stated.
