Warnock backs Villas-Boas to emulate Ferguson

QPR manager Neil Warnock has heaped praise on Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas by claiming that he has the potential to replicate Sir Alex Ferguson, The Daily Mail reports.

Villas-Boas’ reputation is impressive within football and has grown admirers for the way he has changed Chelsea into a more fluid, attacking side. Warnock has noticed the qualities in the Portuguese boss and believes that Chelsea could be highly successful under the reign of Villas-Boas. Warnock said to reporters ahead of the weekend’s fixture with Chelsea: ‘He is very articulate, a nice lad with a great sense of humour. I think Chelsea need that stability and where better to get it than the best young manager in the world. He can be their version of Sir Alex’.

QPR entertain the Blues at Loftus Road this weekend and will be looking for their first win at home this season, as they look to ensure their status in the top-flight next year.
