Watford have completed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Michael Kightly on an initial one-month emergency loan.
The 25-year-old has endured a tumultuous last three seasons at Molineux with a number of injuries restricting him to just 19 first-team appearances.
However Wolves manager Mick McCarthy still sees Kightly as a big part of his plans and told the club’s official website the move came about from Kightly’s request: “Having
“We had a discussion and agreed that he should try and go out on loan, where there’s a better chance of playing those games and helping him get towards the levels needed for the pace of the Premier League.”
The move comes after a similar move to Nottingham Forest fell through and Kightly will be looking to make his Hornets bow when they host Crystal Palace on Saturday.
