Wycombe Wanderers manager Gary Waddock has delved into the loan market to bring in left back Grant Basey from Peterborough on a one-month deal.
The 22-year-old started the season in Posh’s first team but was keen to pursue first-team football elsewhere with his last appearance coming in the form of a very brief cameo in the 2-2 draw with Millwall on the 17th August.
Basey was in high spirits when he spoke to the Chairboys’ official website and believes he has a lot to offer to the League One club: “As

The move comes after usual left-back Andy Sandell suffered a shoulder injury in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Rochdale and Waddock was thankful that a deal could be completed so swiftly: “He’s played at this level and higher so we expect to see some quality from him.
“We’ve been looking to freshen things up and obviously there are areas we need to improve. Steve (Hayes) has allowed us to bring in another player and I thank him for his support. We’ll continue looking.”
