Big-spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are lining up an offer for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and will pay the 33-year-old £10 million a year, according to The
Drogba’s contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a host of clubs as a result, including AC Milan, Galatasaray and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, reports suggest that Anzhi are also now hopeful of securing his signature and will attempt to sway him with a huge annual salary.
The Russian club hit the headlines in the summer when they were able to sign Samuel Eto’o from Internazionale, making him the world’s highest paid player in the process.
They have also done business with Chelsea in the past, signing Russian winger Yuri Zhirkov from Stamford Bridge for £13.2 million last August.
