Arsenal star Jack Wilshere in charity bet with Tottenham fans

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has made a bet with Tottenham fans on Twitter over which side will finish higher in the Premier League, with the loser to make a donation to charity.

Tottenham are currently three points and four places ahead of their North London rivals with a game in hand, but have not finished above the Gunners in the league since 1993.

Speaking on his official Twitter account, Wilshere said: “All Spurs fans are buzzing they are ahead of us in the league. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

“At the end of the season if Spurs finish above Arsenal I will give 3,000 pounds to charity and if Arsenal finish above Spurs every Spurs fan that follows me must send me a pound which I will send to charity.”

Wilshere will hope to get back to action to have an impact on his bet as soon as possible but is currently out until January with an ankle injury.
