QPR forward Jay Bothroyd has warned Manchester City that they are in for a rough test at Loftus Road this weekend, The
Rangers overcame Chelsea 1-0 at Loftus Road two weeks ago and showed their physicality in that fixture to stop the attacking flow of the Blues. Bothroyd believes that his side will look to use the same tactics against Roberto Mancini’s side and will not be afraid to rough the game up again.
‘We have to frustrate them as much as we can and try and nick a goal. We’re under no illusions that Man City are a world-class side, but we have to make it difficult for them. They’re the kind of games you look forward to, because you’re playing against some of the best players in the world and you’ve got to try and embrace that’, the QPR striker said.
Bothroyd got off the mark for QPR at White Hart Lane last weekend and will be looking to get another goal to add to his Rangers tally. City will be brimming with confidence following their recent run of form and could add QPR as another one of their victims this season.
