Carragher has been out of action for the last two Liverpool games, but the 33 year old is supposedly in contention for a place when the Reds travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Saturday. The Reds travel to Stamford Bridge just three points behind the Blues in the table and on a run of eight successive games without defeat. Liverpool assistant manager Steve Clarke says Carragher has trained well this week and he will be in contention.
Clarke said: ‘We just made sure he took his time, recovered from it and he’s trained well these past couple of days. He’ll be in contention for the weekend if there are no mishaps between now and the game’.
