Chelsea turn to Bale for big money title push

Chelsea are reportedly lining up a £40 million bid for Tottenham ace Gareth Bale next year, according to the Daily Mirror.

Bale, who is also believed to be a target for both Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, revealed back in September that he is open to a move away from the North London club in the future.

The 22-year-old was also keen to state that he would prefer a move abroad, though not before helping Tottenham back into the Champions League.

The Welshman has netted five times this season, helping Spurs to fifth position in the Premier league, but it is thought that should Tottenham fail to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the current campaign, Bale could be tempted to look for a move away from White Hart Lane.
