The report suggests that Giovinco’s agent, Andrea D’Amico, was a guest at Chelsea’s midweek 1-1 draw at Genk in the Champions League.
Last month, D’Amico commented: “It’s no mystery that Roman Abramovich likes Giovinco. He was struck by Giovinco’s performances against Chelsea for Juventus in 2008-09.
“Also, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas loves the player’s technical qualities, and this means he is someone who understands football.
“Chelsea would be a nice club for Giovinco to join, but at the moment there is nothing concrete. It all depends on Parma. They will decide,” he concluded.
Giovinco completed a permanent move to Parma in the summer after having been co-owned with Juventus.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with a return to the Turin giants but is also thought to be open to a move away from Serie A.
