Cole to provide evidence in Terry race allegations

The investigation following racism allegations that John Terry is currently under scrutiny for has taken another twist. The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident involving Terry and defender Anton Ferdinand during a match with Queens Park Rangers in October.

Terry completely denies the claims and is desperate to prove his innocence, while Ferdinand has not spoken publicly about his views on the issue. However the Daily Mail reports Chelsea have now called Terry’s Chelsea and England team mate Ashley Cole to provide evidence in support of their club captain.

Cole himself apparently acted as a peacemaker between Ferdinand and Terry after the game had finished, and the Police now feel this was a sufficient enough action to be questioned about the post-match events. The Police are now calling on any other Chelsea players to provide evidence in defence of their captain.
