Dalglish: No point in moaning about Man City’s riches

Ahead of their clash with Manchester City at the weekend, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has told the Daily Mirror that clubs have got to stop moaning about their opponent’s riches and start worrying about how to stop them on the field.

Whilst Dalglish acknowledges that the money does have an effect on City’s rivals in their attempts to buy top quality players, he also points out that football has always been that way where there is a small amount of teams who have the financial power to outmuscle the majority.

The Scot is also quick to point out that everyone would love to be in Manchester City’s position. “If you’re a football club in the fortunate position Manchester City are in, everyone is going to be delighted,” he explained. “Nobody wouldn’t want the financial strength they have got. We have to accept that, not worry about it.”
