Dalglish happy with Liverpool progression

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes that the 2-1 win over Chelsea shows they are a better team than some people think, according to The Liverpool Daily Post.

Glen Johnson netted an 87th minute winner for the Reds and took the side’s unbeaten run to nine games, which moved them level on points with the Blues. Dalglish believes that this victory was more impressive than last season’s 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

The Liverpool boss said: ‘I don’t think we’ve done anything different. I thought we played better (than last year here). We scored twice as many goals. I thought we just played better. We looked a better team, especially in the first half’.

That win for Liverpool was their fifth successive away victory and they will look to follow that up with a home tie against league leaders Manchester City next Sunday.
