Dalglish pleased with Bellamy form

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has spoken of his pleasure at the form of striker Craig Bellamy after the Welshman returned for a second spell at Anfield, according to The Guardian.

Bellamy first played for the Reds in 2006-07, but left after just one season. However, he re-signed for the club on deadline day of this year’s summer transfer window.

He has made a good impression, scoring in his first league start of the season against Norwich and providing an assist against Chelsea in his second.

“He’s a player I have always admired,” said Dalglish. “I’m not worried about what has happened in the past, we’ll just focus on the good bits.

“He’s a brilliant professional,” continued the Liverpool boss. “He’s made a huge contribution on and off the pitch here and I’m delighted with him.”
