Dalglish wants patience in quest for Reds progression

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has called for patience and understanding from the supporters as he looks to rebuild the Reds, liverpoolfc.tv reports.

Dalglish took over Liverpool as manager in January after his first spell ended in 1991 and has produced impressive performances that have seen the Reds regain some of their old form. Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have backed Dalglish wholly and the Scotsman has now called upon the Kop supporters to do the same. The Liverpool boss accepts that he and the players have to keep the ground buzzing and with three successive home draws, their home form needs improvement.

Dalglish will look to begin that improvement in Sunday’s big clash against league leaders Manchester City: ‘The players are showing great attitude and aptitude to push forward and upwards. Some of the stuff they’ve played at Anfield has been superb and we’ve not got the results I think we’ve deserved at home. Patience and understanding are important and I think everyone understands what we’re trying to achieve’.
