David Luiz eyes victory over Wolves to kick-start season

Brazilian defender David Luiz is adamant that a victory over Wolves this weekend will be the ideal way to get the club’s season back on course, chelseafc.com reports.

The Blues have made their worst start to a campaign since 2003 and further placed pressure on manager Andre Villas-Boas with a 2-1 defeat away to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. Luiz is confident that his own form has improved and showed signs of solid defending in the midweek fixture. The Brazilian defender believes that the squad are confident in their abilities and that they can produce a positive performance whilst grabbing all three points.

Stamford Bridge will be expecting a victory and Luiz anticipates a tough fixture which Chelsea will use as a turning point in their season: ‘We are always confident. It’s normal we are not happy because we don’t like to lose, but the team has excellent players, excellent coaching staff and I am sure tomorrow will be the game that turns it around for us. Every team we play wants to beat us because we are a big team. I respect Wolves, of course, but it is important for us to win the match’.
