Dawson set for January Tottenham comeback following surgery

Michael Dawson has undergone surgery to aid his recovery from an achilles tendon injury which will rule him out until next year, according to The Guardian.

Dawson suffered the injury in Tottenham’s 5-1 defeat to Manchester City in August, but his recovery hasn’t been as quick as the club expected.

A club statement said: “Michael Dawson has today undergone surgery to his right achilles tendon to assist with his recovery.

Medical staff are pleased with his progress and he will be reviewed by the surgeon in early December, at which time a date for a return to full training will be determined.”
