Fulham striker Moussa Dembele played hot and cold yesterday in light of transfer speculation linking him with a £10 million move to Tottenham.
However, the former AZ Alkmaar frontman later issued a clarifying statement to the press association, saying, “Yes I was asked about the links with Spurs, and I did respond that I was flattered by interest in me, because it means I am playing well, nothing more. However, I am happy at Fulham and I am under contract here.”
The Mail reports that Tottenham have already had two bids turned down for Dembele, and plan to return with another in the January transfer window.
