Arsene Wenger is understood to be a big fan of the 19-year-old, who has attracted attention from many top sides in Europe, and has named him as a top priority signing.
But Klopp has insisted that the wonder-kid is going nowhere: “Nothing can happen in January. Arsenal is only about 10 per cent of what is written in Germany so it’s not a problem. Apparently Bayern Munich are interested in him. Nobody buys a player from Borussia Dortmund just like that. Not even Arsenal.”
The player reiterated his coach’s point and says he has not let the speculation affect his performances: “I’ve heard the rumours from the Premier League – but I never let that affect me. I’m only focused on Dortmund, now more than ever. This match comes at a good time for us. We need to win and that’s our objective at Arsenal.”
