Ferdinand accuses FA of dragging heels on racism investigation

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has accused the Football Association of dragging their heels regarding the racism row involving his brother, The Telegraph reports.

Ferdinand used the social networking site Twitter to vent his frustration about how some matters are dealt with quicker than others. Chelsea defender John Terry has been accused of racism with Ferdinand’s younger brother, QPR defender Anton, and the Manchester United defender is annoyed at how long the FA are taking. The 33 year old wrote an hour after the FA’s appeal to allow poppies on England’s shirts for the friendly against Spain: ‘Powers that be do make stands on certain issues I see’. Ferdinand also commented on how quickly the FA investigated the spitting row involving Wigan defender Antolin Alcaraz.
