Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has slated Liverpool for ignoring the Football Association’s request to keep quiet over the racism row involving Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez, The
Suarez has been charged with racially abusing the United defender during the 1-1 draw between the two sides at Anfield on October 15th. If the Uruguayan is found guilty of the charge, he faces the possibility of a six match ban. Ferguson has raised concern over the way his old nemesis have handled the situation and have been ‘drip-feeding’ comments in support of their forward, who has strenously denied any wrong-doing.
The United boss said: ‘I think Liverpool have been drip-feeding a lot of stuff out in the last couple of weeks. That’s up to the FA to decide on that, not for us. I understand that they want to protect their player, he’s an asset. But we’re just abiding by the FA.’
