Redknapp is close to completing his recovery from heart surgery last month and the Spurs boss is eager to get back into the groove of management. Assistants Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan have took charge of first team duties with Redknapp’s absence and provided the manager with some delight by securing a 3-1 away win against Fulham before the international break.
The internationals have given Redknapp chance to recover fully and Jordan is in constant contact with Redknapp, saying that the 64 year old sounds and feels good following an operation to remove a minor blockage in one of his arteries.
The Spurs assistant said: ‘There’s a possibility Harry will be back for the Villa game. He’s very keen and optimistic of that happening’.
