Hazard warning puts Arsenal on alert

Arsenal are on red alert after Lille midfielder Eden Hazard admitted he is ready to leave the club and join one of Europe’s elite, according to talkSPORT.

Hazard has dazzled defences in Ligue 1 and the Gunners have been keen on the Belgian international for some time. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reportedly tabled a bid in the summer, but was turned down by the Lille hierarchy. The 20-year-old has also been linked with a host of top English sides as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The midfielder is regarded as one of the hottest properties in European football and has now told LOSC that he wants to further his progress at a bigger club. Arsenal are ready to make a move as soon as the transfer window opens and may already lay foundations in a series of meetings with Lille executives.

I feel ready to make it to the next level at a big club. I stayed in Lille this season, because there were still things I had to work on, things to prove. But now, I’m ready.” Hazard said.
