Henry back in an Arsenal shirt

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry was back in the Gunners kit yesterday, but only to train with his former side, The Daily Mail reports.

Henry led from the front of Arsene Wenger’s youthful squad at training and despite being 34, the Frenchman is in great shape. The Gunners’ squad were eager to share training with such an Arsenal legend, who scored 174 goals in 254 appearances. Henry currently plays at Major Soccer League side New York Red Bulls and after they were eliminated from the MLS play-offs by Los Angeles Galaxy, the striker asked Wenger if he could train with the Gunners to keep fit. Wenger said: ‘Thierry was back training with us. He just wants to stay fit, enjoy himself and come back to Arsenal Football Club. He is at home here, so it’s always good to have him back.’
