Italian giants set to fight for Tevez

AC Milan are set to enter a transfer battle with fierce rivals Inter Milan to sign Manchester City’s controversial striker Carlos Tevez, according to the Daily Mail. AC Milan have been linked with Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka recently as they appear to be desperate to bring a striker to the club.

The club’s Chief Executive Adriano Galliani however see’s Drogba and Anelka as short-term options, whereas Tevez is considered a player who would could stay at the club for a few years given he is 27 years of age. This is despite the Argentine’s reputation for from moving from club to club since he arrived in England.

According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani is hoping to strike a deal to take Tevez on loan at first , and then make the deal permanent come the end of the loan period as they may struggle to meet the £40m asking price.
