Jones regained his England place in midfield after his performance against Spain on Saturday and came close to scoring after a powerful run through the heart of the Swedish defence. United striker Danny Welbeck had to pull out of the squad with a muscle strain and was tipped to start for England if he had been fit. England have arranged a friendly with Sweden for November 14th next year. Elsewhere, Portuguese international Nani scored a screamer against Bosnia-Herzegovina to help Portugal win 6-2 and progress to Euro 2012.
