King plans another season for Spurs before thinking of management

Ledley King has lauded Tottenham’s new-found belief ahead of their game against Aston Villa tonight.

Speaking to the Telegraph, King said, “The reason why we’ve gone eight [league] games unbeaten is we’ve started to believe we really do have a good squad. Our top XI is a match for anyone.”

31-year-old King’s contract expires at the end of the season, but he added: “I can play next season. Every player knows their body will tell them when it’s time to pack it in. Mine isn’t at the moment. But I’ll do my coaching badges. I’d like to spend time watching Barcelona train, bettering myself. I’d definitely like to give myself the option to be a manager or a coach one day. But there are a lot of games left in me.”
