Kompany set to miss Man City clash with QPR

Manchester City travel to Loftus Road without defender and captain Vincent Kompany for the game against QPR, Sky Sports reports.

Kompany was sent off in last week’s victory over Wolves and must serve a one-match ban which means he misses the fixture against Rangers. Young defender Stefan Savic will now surely step into the role left by the Belgian.

City boss Roberto Mancini is also expected to reshuffle his attacking options and bring back Sergio Aguero into the starting line-up after he was on the bench for the midweek fixture against Villarreal. Mario Balotelli has been in scintillating form as of late and should retain his place to partner Aguero up front for the Premier League leaders.

City have won nine out of 10 in all competitions and have only dropped two points in the league so far this season. Rangers have a good league record against City and have been unbeaten in their last six meetings. City are expected to rewrite the record books and get the easy win.
