Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy are planning to launch a bid for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard as a replacement for David Beckham, according to the Daily
Beckham’s contract is due to expire soon and it is unclear whether he will stay in America, or take up other options available to him abroad. Lampard will have a large price tag as he has been in superb form recently, flourishing under new manager Andre Villas-Boas. The MLS will want to bring in Lampard to raise the profile of their league, and generate extra revenue as they have done with David Beckham. However Lampard, 33, is likely to consider himself having a few seasons of top-flight football left in him at this present time.
