Lampard happy with England balance between youth and experience

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes that England have finally got the perfect balance between youth and experience, The Daily Star reports.

Lampard is now 33 and will lead out England for their friendly against Spain today. England boss Fabio Capello had promised to freshen up the England side and the introduction of Chelsea teammate Daniel Sturridge, along with other youngsters, has pleased Lampard. The Chelsea midfielder is delighted with the current talent within the squad and believes that they have every chance of upsetting the World and European Champions at Wembley.

Lampard said: ‘I think the balance of the squad between youth and experience is right. I’ve played with Sturridge and he can make something happen out of nothing. On the pitch, the balance is lovely.’
