Liverpool have shown their youth policy once again by scouting a 15 year old from Swiss side FC Basel, according to the Daily
Nicholas Hunziker is being watched by chief Reds scout Frank McParland as the Reds are keen on bringing him to Anfield. The 15 year old made his debut for the Swiss national youth team and scored a hat-trick, which has alerted the interest of a host of top European sides. Liverpool believe they have seen enough talent before that game and are eyeing up a bid to submit to the Swiss side.
Basel are open to selling their player, but could be inclined to demand that the youngster spends the rest of the season back on loan at the club before making the switch to Merseyside. Hunziker will be available for a nominal fee and becomes one of many youth players that Liverpool are attracting under the stewardship of Reds manager Kenny Dalglish and Reds director of football Damien Comolli.
