Lua Lua Completes Permanent Move to Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion have announced they have completed the transfer of Kazenga Lua Lua to the club from Newcastle.

The 20-year-old winger, who had been on loan at Albion since August,.has completed his switch from the North East for a undisclosed fee and has signed a three year deal.

Lua Lua, brother of Blackpool striker Lomana, proved to be a huge success for the Seagulls last term in their League One winning season, before he broke his leg just over a year ago.

Speaking to Brighton’s official website, Lua Lua stated, “Since I came to the club it has always been my intention to sign a permanent deal so this is a really happy day for me.”

The Congolese midfielder had originally had three successful loan spells for the club, where he also scored his only four professional football goals.

Lua Lua added, “I have come here because I feel Brighton is the place where I can really kick on with my career.

“At Newcastle, I wasn’t really involved in the first-team squad that often and at my age, I want to start playing regular football.”
