Man Utd to keep young striker Keane

Manchester United have confirmed that they are keeping England under 21 striker Will Keane at the club, Sky Sports reports.

Red Devils reserve team manager Warren Joyce is adamant that the club will not send Keane out on loan and expressed his delight at the young forward earning a call-up to Stuart Pearce’s Under 21 side against Iceland. A number of Football League clubs are interested in bringing the 18 year old in on loan, but Joyce belives that he needs to develop at Old Trafford before he goes anywhere. Keane has been compared to Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the past and is seen as one of the best youngsters at Old Trafford.

Joyce said: ‘We’re pretty confident that Will could be out there doing it in the league, but there’s things we want him to develop in-house before he goes out. He just needs to be himself and come out and be known as Will Keane’.
