Reports suggested that some members of the Chelsea squad are unhappy with the change in philosophy and tactics adopted by Villas-Boas at the club. Mata was influential in that victory, scoring the third, and the Spaniard believes that the club are with the vision that Villas-Boas holds for the club.
The 23 year old, signed from Valencia in the summer, also revealed that the squad held a team meeting to express the unity Chelsea have. ‘We had a team meeting last week simply to reiterate that we are all together and that we are heading in the same direction and we showed that against Wolves. The group has always been very united and we have always been sure that the secret in enjoying more success as we go forward has been to stay strong and stay together’, Mata said.
