Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move for Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero, The
Granero had been the reported subject of an £8m offer from the Gunners, but Wenger has dismissed his interest in the Madrid man. The Spaniard has not managed much first team action under Jose Mourinho and is looking for an escape route away from the Bernabeau. Wenger’s refusal to sign the 24 year old paves the way for Valencia to make the move, but Wenger is not interested in bringing Granero to the Emirates Stadium and will allow the Spanish side to sign the former Spain under 21 player.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing a new midfielder after the summer departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, but Granero is not a player that interests the Gunners’ manager.
