Oldham sign Mancini and Scapuzzi on loan deals from Man City

Oldham Athletic have signed Manchester City youngsters Lucas Scapuzzi and Andreas Mancini on short-term loan deals, BBC Sport reports.

Scapuzzi has made two Carling Cup appearances for City this season and joins Oldham on a two-month loan deal. The former AC Milan youth team player joined Roberto Mancini’s side on a three year deal following a successful trial this summer. Mancini, the son of the City manager, has joined Oldham on a one-month loan deal.

Former City legend Paul Dickov is in charge at Oldham and has spoken of his gratitude to the City boss for allowing the two youngsters to move out on loan.

Dickov said: ‘We have got a couple of strikers out with injury and I am really grateful to Roberto Mancini for allowing these deals to go through. I have seen both Luca and Andrea play this season and they are both decent. We have four games in the next two weeks, so they will definitely see some action’.
