The Moroccan international has not made the impact many thought he would do upon his arrival from Bordeaux last summer. Chamakh has been kept out of the side by captain Robin Van Persie and despite Arsene Wenger’s insistence that he is part of his plans, a move for regular football could be too much to resist. PSG have recently been taken over by wealthy investors and have been spending money heavily, signing playmaker Javier Pastore for £43m in the summer.
The French side are keen to make Chamakh one of their January signings. Chamakh’s fellow striker Van Persie has also been touted as a signing for Manchester City in January, but it is highly unlikely Wenger will allow that deal. The Dutchman is playing some amazing football and has led Arsenal’s revival up the league.
